Judge Edna Staudt

Judge Edna Staudt is in her fifth term of office. She has served on numerous boards, including the Williamson County Jail Bond Board, Child Fatality Review Team, Safe and Drug Free Schools Committee, Austin Crisis Pregnancy Center, Agape Pregnancy Resource Center, YMCA, Right-Step Alcohol & Drug Center, Central Texas Justice of the Peace and Constable Association, and Hope Connections Pregnancy Resource Center. She is also an active member of the Chamber of Commerce in Cedar Park, Leander, and Liberty Hill. Judge Staudt has received numerous awards and recognition for her service to the community.

She partnered with the Greater Williamson County YMCA to create the first county wide Teen Court. Seeing the need for resources to address family problems, Judge Staudt created the Justice Court Mentoring Program which networks with local businesses and ministries to assign mentors to troubled teens in her court. The Justice Court Mentoring Program has been effective in reducing crime since 1997. She has created several programs to address the various needs of the community. She speaks regularly to civic groups and students educating on laws and policy.

Originally from Austin, Judge Staudt is married, has six children and five grandchildren. She attends the The Journey Bible Fellowship where she and her husband assist with music.
