History

The Cedar Park - Leander Rotary Club was founded in 1989 with its first President being David Johnson (he served in that capacity for the first two years). The Club currently has membership representing a variety of businesses and professions from in and around the Cedar Park/Leander area. The club meets the first and third Wednesdays of each month.  Our regular meetings are held at 7 a.m. at, Hampton Inn, 700 Central Park Dr.,   Cedar Park, TX 78613.

International Service

Through the contribution of the club’s members to the Rotary Foundation we are able to participate in all the worldwide service programs of Rotary International. This includes Polio Plus with the goal of eradicating polio worldwide. The Rotary Club of Cedar Park has had ongoing joint project relationships with other Rotary Clubs in Mexico.

Local Service Programs

Locally, and throughout the local District, many service programs offer our club the opportunity for participation. The Cedar Park Rotary Club directly supports the following services and charitable events (and many others).

  • Sponsor students to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards camp in the summer at Bastrop.

  • Provide scholarship funds to deserving area students.

  • Provide books for LISD Title 1 schools.

  • Support Reveal Ministries and their outreach to those families in our community in need.

  • In conjunction with the Cedar Park and Leander Chamber of Commerce, support local events with resources and Rotarians.
