Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack Event
Feb. 22, 2025 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Hill Country Bible Church will be hosting a Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack event! Why a mobile packing event?  Food assistance is a vital component in the process of transitioning individuals, families and communities out of chronic hunger and poverty and into self-sufficiency. "Hunger is the world's biggest solvable problem." – World Food Programme. We believe that food is the foundation for all other progress. To a starving child, hope can only truly begin once a reliable source of nutritious food has been established. FMSC produces three special MannaPack™ meal formulas developed by food scientists to specifically stop malnutrition. We believe Jesus Christ has called us to feed the hungry and serve those in need.

·      Feeding children in our community and around the world

·      Partnering with local churches, businesses, schools, civic orgs.

·      Encouraging 1,800+ volunteers to donate 2 hours of their time

·      Packing 300,000+ meals; that's enough to feed 800 kids a daily meal for an entire year!

·      Collecting food to restock the Reveal Resource Center (local community food               bank).

Servant leaders enable us to do what we do, every day. We couldn’t do this work without YOU. Servant leaders pack all of the meals that the donations pay for.  It takes both packing and donating to feed the children!

Sign Up Link will be available January 2025.

Bruce Gearing, LISD Superintendent of Schools

Update on LISD

Apr. 16, 2025 7:00 a.m.

I’m a husband to Aldine for 26 years, father of four exceptional children, and a strong advocate for public education. I believe in the power each individual has to change the world and as such, I know that the future of our globe is sitting in our public schools right now. It’s our responsibility to ensure they are ready for the extreme challenges they will face in their lifetime. As A.J. Juliani says it best: “Our job is not to prepare students for something, our job is to help students prepare themselves for anything.”

I will continue to fight to empower learners in public schools across the globe by setting the example for what can be accomplished in my community. It truly takes a village to raise a child. We must work together, empower one another, and set the example with every choice we make.
