Band of the Hills is a wind and percussion ensemble composed of musicians from Cedar Park, Leander, Round Rock, Pflugerville and the surrounding area. We are a non-audition, volunteer organization of dedicated musicians who love to perform and whose purpose is to provide a cultural and musical experience for central Texas communities.

Judge Angela Williams has been a resident of Leander and Williamson County since 1988. She and her husband, Gene Williams, have owned and operated a family business for the last 25 years. Judge Williams believes her duty as an elected official is to stand for the rights and laws that preserve justice and harmony in Texas, while being vigilant and fair to act in the people's best interests.

Judge Williams earned an Associate Degree in Applied Science from Austin Community College and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Concordia University. She is also a graduate of the Leander Citizens Police Academy. Judge Williams is passionate about serving the community, doing so by volunteering, mentoring, and supporting local schools, as well as serving through her church. She and Gene have five daughters, one son, two sons-in-law, and four grandchildren.

Join us for a Happy Hour at The Point ATX, featuring cocktails, bites, and big impact. A portion of the proceeds will support four Williamson County Service Clubs: The Rotary Club of Cedar Park-Leander, the Longhorn Lions of Cedar Park and Leander, the Round Rock Kiwanis, and the Sertoma Club of Round Rock. These organizations are collaborating and coordinating to "stir up service" opportunities in our community

Monty Chamberlain is the Employment Recruitment Coordinator for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC).  In this role, Mr. Chamberlain has been responsible for networking with employers across the state of Texas to share information about the many values disabled individuals can bring to an employer, as well as working on various Employment First-related projects, including the HHS Vocational Apprenticeship Program.

Mr. Chamberlain has 41 years of state government experience.  He began his career with the Texas Department of Transportation and worked with that agency for 18 years, progressing to his last position with the agency as Director of Administration for one of the agency's divisions.  For the last 23 years, he has been with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. He was the Director of Administration for the Richmond State Supported Living Center for eight years, and then assumed the role as the statewide Business Services Director in the State Supported Living Center division, coordinating all business and support services for the 12 State Supported Living Centers and overseeing the nearly $700 million budget at the time.  For the past 10 years, Mr. Chamberlain has held his current position, focusing on Employment First-related projects.  

Mr. Chamberlain holds a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Public Administration from Saint Edwards University in Austin, where he graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors and is credentialed by the State Comptroller as a Certified Texas Contract Manager.

Annually Rotary Clubs change their club president for the new Rotary year commencing on July 1.  Incoming club president, Jerry Chapman, will lead a discusion of the club budget, goals, challenges for the next year. 

Cedar Park-Leander Rotary sponsored two Leander ISD students in 2025.  Listen to these gifted students as they share the impact of the RYLA experience.

RYLA is a signature Rotary program designed to develop the leadership potential of young people. Born from a vision to empower young leaders, RYLA has grown into a globally recognized leadership development bootcamp. Its inception dates back to 1959 when Rotarians in Queensland, Australia, organized an event to celebrate the centennial of statehood. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and the initiative spread like wildfire, evolving into the structured, impactful program we know today.

Guerry Harris is a CFP® professional. He has over 30 years’ experience in wealth management and served in the U.S. Navy. He earned a degree in Finance from the University of Central Florida and a certificate in Financial Planning from Northwestern University. He is registered as an investment advisor and a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).

Guerry joined the Rotary Club of Northwest Austin in April of 2022 and is their current President. He is also the founding member and current President of the Rotary Means Business – Austin Metro Chapter.

He has been married to his wife Michelle for 25 years and they have two adult daughters, and a Great Pyrenees/Lab mix rescue dog named Phoebe.

Carrie Vanston helps executives, business owners, and professionals to connect with their passion, power up their mindset, and supercharge their impact so they can meet and exceed their goals with joy and fulfillment.

Carrie co-authored the award-winning book MiniTrends and her articles have appeared in such publications as Texas CEO Magazine and Austin Business Journal.

She is a popular keynote speaker on being a more energized, visionary leader and has made presentations to Fortune 500 companies, associations, government agencies, human resource groups, and universities. She also speaks on how intentional travel can transform your business and life.

Carrie previously led the popular MiniTrends Conference Series at Technology Futures, Inc (TFI). She is presently a TFI Board Member and an Advisor with its non-profit Art 84.

She is a National Speakers Association (NSA) Austin Board Member and 2024 Austin Business JournalWomen in Business Honoree. She directed the Association of Corporate Growth's Austin C-Suite Roundtable for 2 years and was a National Adviser and Austin Board Member of Cultures in Action.

Carrie is an Certified Leadership Coach, Certified Travel Coach, Accredited ICF Coach (PCC), Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP), and a Professional Speaker with NSA.

On the personal side, she loves to dance, travel, and spend time with her two sons.

At this Club Assembly, we will begin our new Rotary year with a Strategic Planning session. Club member Abe Martinez will facilitate the session, focusing us especially on increasing membership. 

District Governor Todd Smith is a member of the Rotary Club of Georgetown, TX. DG Todd was introduced to Rotary in 2007 when he was invited to join the Rotary Club of Austin (later serving as its President). He “became a passionate Rotarian” during a 2014 trip to India where he administered Polio drops to underprivileged children. Following a move to Coastal California in 2015, DG Todd joined and later served as President of the Rotary Club of Montecito, CA, subsequently becoming an Assistant Governor in District 5240. Professionally, after having worked as a freelance Producer in the motion picture industry, DG Todd works – in his “Rotary Spare Time” -- as a residential real estate broker and mobile notary. He lives in Georgetown, has two grown and married sons, one grandchild and last-but-not-least two adorable, adopted pups, Buster and Pumpkin.

Trudy Marshall was a teacher in Pflugerville for eighteen years and a librarian in a Round Rock school for ten years. After traveling to thirty-nine countries, someone suggested she go to Uganda. There she found schools with no books. The first school library was provided in 2005. At present in Uganda, Libraries of Love has provided forty-six school libraries and three in prisons. Seven school libraries have also been provided in Kenya. 

In their sponsorship program, there are now twenty-five college graduates and fifty-four sponsored students with fourteen of those in college. 

Libraries of Love also meets endless humanitarian needs. 

Trudy lives in small villages with the people she serves in both Uganda and Kenya six to seven months a year. She is a Rotarian in Rotary Club of Pflugerville.

Walk with us for peace! The Walk of Peace will take place on Sunday, November 2, 2025, in Cedar Park. This family-friendly, non-political event is being sponsored by the Wilco Service Coalition, which was formed by members of the Rotary Club of Cedar Park-Leander, the Cedar Park/Leander Lions Club, the Kiwanis Club of Round Rock, and the Round Rock Sertoma Club. Other community organizations that are participating include Girl Scout Troop 1587 and VFW Post 10427.

We welcome EVERYONE to come and join in building a more caring and connected community.

We will begin at the Heritage Oak on Quest Parkway and walk together to the Cedar Park Library. Along the way, we will encourage people to get to know each other through fun icebreaker questions.

     Scott was born in Coshocton, Ohio, but has lived his entire life in Northern Virginia prior to moving to Georgetown, Texas in June 2023.  He has been affiliated with The Salvation Army his whole life attending church in Alexandria, Virginia.  It was there in 1987 that Scott met Sandra Smith who, being raised as a Salvation Army Officer’s child, grew up on the ministry field that led her to Alexandria, Virginia where she met Scott.  Scott and Sandy were married in March 1996.

     Scott graduated from George Mason University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.  Following university studies, Scott began his professional career with The Salvation Army National Headquarters in 1995 in the Archives Department.  It was during this time that he obtained his Masters in Applied History degree in 2007.   In 2011, Scott became the National Headquarters Resource Center Director and continued in that position until June of 2023.

     Scott’s hobbies include playing the B flat tuba, watching Star Wars with his son Ben, and reading presidential biographies.  He is a loyal follower of all Washington, DC professional sports teams and everything Ohio (Go Buckeyes)!

     The greatest accomplishment that Scott and Sandra have took place in 2007 when God blessed them with their son, Benjamin Luke Bedio!  Scott, Sandy, and Ben reside in Round Rock and have fallen in love with serving in Williamson County!
