A Rotary classification talk is a short presentation given by members to introduce themselves, their professional background, and their vocation to fellow Rotarians. We will hear from one of our newer members, Shweta Padmanabha, and two longtime members, Rich Carroll and Joe Dahlstrom. People from very different backgrounds and histories can all become great Rotarians. Come hear their stories!

Sharon Arellano is the Co-Founder of FIFTY/50 Pilates, a locally owned boutique Pilates
concept that has expanded to multiple studios serving Cedar Park, Leander, and Georgetown.
Together with her husband, Brett, and sister, Melinda, she has helped build FIFTY/50 around
the belief that the best fitness experiences put people first, creating an environment where
members feel supported, challenged, and empowered to achieve their own goals.

Before launching FIFTY/50, Sharon co-founded the branding consultancy Unfettered and spent
more than 20 years leading brand strategy, consumer insights, and product innovation for
Fortune 100 companies and advertising agencies. She holds an MBA with a focus in Consumer
Insights and combines her background in strategy, research, and marketing with a passion for
creating exceptional member experiences, building strong community connections, and helping
local businesses thrive.

As the Founder and Chief of Beats at Soulshine, Suzy creates spaces that bring people together, inspire confidence, and strengthen communities through the shared experience of rhythm, movement, and human connection.

Whether she's leading a fitness class, facilitating a community drum circle, working with older adults or teens, Suzy helps people feel energized, empowered, and connected. Her programs blend movement, rhythm, and evidence-informed practices to support physical well-being while fostering something just as important—a sense of belonging.

For Suzy, Soulshine has never been just about drumming or fitness. It's about helping people discover their strength, connect with one another, and leave feeling a little brighter than when they arrived.

Kyle Dalton is a veteran sports journalist of more than 30 years who has covered athletes and teams at every level — from Friday night football to professional sports. Now he's applying that same storytelling instinct using artificial intelligence to help local businesses and entrepreneurs share their story, attract new customers, and grow. As a Cedar Park-based AI consultant, Kyle's mission is simple: make AI practical and accessible for our neighbors who own and run the businesses we count on every day.

Scott Rainey was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  He attended the University of Oklahoma and is a proud Sooner!  Scott is married to Martha Bowles, who he met in church in Clear Lake, TX.  Scott has a daughter Taylor McConnell who has blessed him with three granddaughters Parker Anne, Charlie Mae, and Mason Rayne.  Scott’s Stepson Chase Cusack works in the entertainment industry.  Scott and Martha have two dogs, Macie and Ellie.

Scott trades petrochemicals and fuel products as his day job.

Scott is highly involved with Rotary.  He is a member of the Rotary Club of Austin and was previously a member of the Space Center club in Houston where he served in several capacities, including Club President in 2014-15.  He was an Assistant Governor in 2016-17 & 2017-18.  He served as Rotary District 5890 Governor for the year 2020-21, “The Pandemic Year”. 

Scott has served District 5870 as the Polio Plus Chair,  and as PETS and GNTS facilitator, and Rotary International Conferences as the Zone 25B Promotion chair for Melbourn, Singapore, and Calgary. 

Scott is a Major Donor, and member of the Paul Harris Society, Polio Plus Society, and White Hat Society.

Scott’s passions include His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his family, and Sooner football.
