Living Grace Canine Ranch
Rhonda Minardi Living Grace Canine Ranch Sep. 04, 2024 7:00 a.m.

Sixty-three percent of senior dogs do not survive an animal shelter experience.  Rhonda saw the need for an alternative approach instead of relying on the conventional shelter adoption model.  Her vision led to her founding Living Grace Canine Ranch located in Bertram. Over the past four years, LGCR’s vision and thoughtful program execution have significantly improved the quality of life for senior dogs in Williamson County.

Why Rotary
Jeff Coleman Why Rotary Sep. 18, 2024

District Governor Nominee Jeff is a native Texan who has lived all over the state, but primarily grew up in Corpus Christi.  He is a 1988 graduate of Corpus Christi State University with a BA in Political Science.  He and his wife, Shannon, moved to Pflugerville in 2001 after he opened a State Farm Insurance Agency.  He has three grown children, one son-in-law and three beautiful grandchildren.

Jeff has a long history of serving his community in volunteer roles.  He is incredibly proud of the 9 and a half years he led Pflugerville as its Mayor.  During his term, Pflugerville grew from a population of 35,000 to 60,000 and in 2016 was recognized as the 12th best city in America for a population of 50,000-300,000.  He joined the Rotary Club of Pflugerville in 2000 and is a three-time Past President, Board Member, and has served on various other committees and club projects. At the District level, he has served as District Project Coordinator, District Insurance Representative, and is on the Membership Committee as Club Liaison. Bags of Grace is a ministry of love to the homeless and a simple way to assist those who are living on the streets of Austin. What is a A Bag of Grace? It is simply a one-gallon ziploc plastic bag filled with specific non-perishable food items and other basics we often take for granted. This is a tangible way we can make a small difference in the lives of others.

10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Support the Salvation Army in the annual month of giving by ringing the Salvation Army Bell.

Each year, The Salvation Army will serve more than 25 million people across America – including many here in your community. That means 55+ million meals for the hungry, 10+ million nights of shelter for the homeless, and countless Christmas gifts for children who may otherwise go without.

So truly, you can make a difference with every ring. The funds you raise as a Salvation Army bell ringer will make a year-round impact in your community through social services assistance, homeless shelters, disaster relief, children’s programs, rehabilitation services, anti-human trafficking, and more.

Donations in the red kettle stay local – directly impacting the lives of your neighbors by helping them in their time of need. When you ring the bell, you’re making change happen.

Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack Event
Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack Event Feb. 22, 2025
12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Hill Country Bible Church

Hill Country Bible Church will be hosting a Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack event! Why a mobile packing event?  Food assistance is a vital component in the process of transitioning individuals, families and communities out of chronic hunger and poverty and into self-sufficiency. "Hunger is the world's biggest solvable problem." – World Food Programme. We believe that food is the foundation for all other progress. To a starving child, hope can only truly begin once a reliable source of nutritious food has been established. FMSC produces three special MannaPack™ meal formulas developed by food scientists to specifically stop malnutrition. We believe Jesus Christ has called us to feed the hungry and serve those in need.

·      Feeding children in our community and around the world

·      Partnering with local churches, businesses, schools, civic orgs.

·      Encouraging 1,800+ volunteers to donate 2 hours of their time

·      Packing 300,000+ meals; that's enough to feed 800 kids a daily meal for an entire year!

·      Collecting food to restock the Reveal Resource Center (local community food               bank).

Servant leaders enable us to do what we do, every day. We couldn’t do this work without YOU. Servant leaders pack all of the meals that the donations pay for.  It takes both packing and donating to feed the children!

Sign Up Link will be available January 2025.
